French national final of Young European Truck Driver: One down – 26 to go
Frédéric Divay, 33, won the French national final of Young European Truck Driver 2010.
The final, which took place at the Magny Cours race track south-east of Paris on May 29, was the first of the national races for this year’s YETD competition, and the crowds filled the grandstands for the event.
Divay was the French champion in 2007 and came in fourth in the European final that year, and his experience stood him well. After a knocking-the-king duel he won the day, securing his place in the European final taking place in Södertälje in October.

In addition to the French YETD final, a race in the French Truck Racing series attracted considerable spectator interest. So did the new V8 truck Scania R 730 and the nearly 70 customised trucks on exhibition, of which the vast majority were Scania.
