Wanted: The world's best truck drivers

Scania at Interschutz 2010 – Solutions for fire and rescue operations

At Interschutz 2010 in Leipzig 7-12 June, Scania is exhibiting six vehicles showing the wide array of solutions possible within Scania’s truck range.

Scania’s modular design means that special-purpose vehicles can easily be built in the normal production flow from the regular range of components. One example is the special-purpose Scania CrewCab which seats up to six people. Scania has built more than 4,000 CrewCabs over the years, which makes the company a leading supplier of crew cabs.

The Scania CrewCab complies with the EN 1846-2 ergonomics requirements. As an option, the wide and sturdy boarding steps for the occupants in the rear fold down as soon as the door is opened, allowing the crew to rush out without delay.

The vehicles exhibited range from a Scania P 270 water tender with a long Scania CrewCab to a Scania P 360 rear-steer with turn-table ladder and low-entry cab.
Scania’s vehicles can be built in any configuration with up to five axles. All-wheel-drive is available on some models.
The robust design and high availability combined with a network of more than 1,500 service points worldwide and emergency service round-the-clock makes Scania a strong global supplier of solutions in the market for fire and rescue vehicles.
