Young European Truck Driver 2010: It pays to work for a champion

The winners of the national YETD final in Finland!In August, visitors to the Power Truck Show in Alahärmä, Finland’s largest trucking event, saw Finnish driver Tino Hyökki winning the competition.
 
Tino Hyökki, 35, outperformed his competitors in Finland’s national final of the Young European Truck Driver competition, which took place on 7 August at the Power Truck Show, Finland’s largest yearly trucking event. Out of 12 finalists, he earned top points, becoming the Finnish winner of the Young European Truck Driver 2010. The finalists qualified over three regional semi-finals earlier this year.

Hyökki works for Marko Haavisto, who won the Finnish title in 2007. Hyökki is based in Finland but delivers a variety of goods throughout Europe.
 
This year’s Power Truck Show, the sixth annual, attracted some 20,000 visitors.
