Scania has again captured first place in Europe’s 1,000 Point Test. After a convincing victory in 2009, where Scania’s biggest model, the R-series, won by an unusually large margin, the latest test saw a 420 hp G-series tractor again comfortably on top.
Guillermo Suarez, 30, won the Scania Driver Competitions Argentinean final on 12 November. The final attracted some 300 spectators.
Scania has received several truck orders from the Finnish defense, with an initial order of 91 vehicles and an option for more. The customer has stipulated that these be subjected to a broad variety of tests to assess their capabilities.
